A Space to Move and Discover Local Potential

Running through captivating natural landscapes while discovering the culture and local wisdom of Central Java is an experience brought back for the third time through Resta Friendship Trail Run (RFTR) 2026, held on Sunday, October 25, 2026. With more than 300 participants, this year’s event offered a variety of exciting experiences to make the race even more memorable. This year, participants had the opportunity to take on between the 7K or 15K route, giving the option to experience more challenging routes. In addition, this year’s BIBs, or Body Identification Numbers, were equipped with time-tracking features and technology to help monitor runners’ positions throughout the event, enhancing their safety and comfort.

The official opening ceremony was attended by Group CEO Astra Infra, Firman Yosafat Siregar, Group CFO Astra Infra, Halim Wahjana, Commissioner of Resta Pendopo KM456, Michael R. Atmoko, President Director of Resta Pendopo KM456, Daisy Setiawan, and Director of Resta Pendopo KM456, David Harlo Herdi. Representatives of the management team also took part in the flag-off ceremony to mark the start of the event.

The RFTR 2026 route started and finished at Resta Pendopo KM456, passing through several surrounding villages, including Tembelangan, Kalangan, Baok, Karang, Ujung-Ujung, Brangkongan, Tlogotani, Ploso, Gading, and Mukus. Along the route, participants enjoyed exquisite natural scenery, from expansive rice fields and rubber plantations to rural landscapes and natural rivers, with the toll road as a backdrop. The experience offered participants an opportunity to appreciate the region’s natural beauty while sampling local delicacies that showcase Central Java’s culinary heritage and create opportunities for local businesses. As an additional highlight, participants could also take part in a sticker-hunting challenge for a chance to win special merchandise from Resta Sae.

Ahmad Syauqi F., a participant in the 15K category from Sukoharjo, Solo, shared that RFTR 2026 offered a memorable running experience. The challenging route, combined with breathtaking scenery, made the event different from a typical running race. Meanwhile, Cynara Winarno, a participant in the 7K category, described her experience as enjoyable. The spirit of togetherness was further brought to life through various activities, making RFTR 2026 more than just a sporting event, but also a space to celebrate community and diversity.

A Space to Create and Celebrate Diversity

In its efforts to create a broader positive impact on society, Resta Pendopo KM456 also introduced Ruang Temoe, an inclusive social space that serves as a platform for difable and neurodivergent in the creative economy, partners, and the wider community to connect and collaborate. The initiative brings together several partners: Dewijaya Care, Puka, Filoksenia Foundation, Cemara Paper, Billa Creations, and Athaya Arts. Together, they offer a diverse range of products, including body care items, handicrafts, accessories, fashion, and environmentally friendly creative products. The involvement of these partners not only showcases the creativity and quality of their products but also reflects a commitment to empowerment, independence, and providing everyone with opportunities to express themselves, create, and grow.

Coinciding with RFTR 2026, Ruang Temoe collaborated with Filoksenia Foundation, a community that empowers neurodivergent artists with talents in art and graphic design and is also part of Ruang Temoe, to host a pouch-painting workshop for visitors at Resta Pendopo KM456.

More than 100 participants took part in the pouch-painting activity alongside Filoksenia artists. Visitors also had the opportunity to write encouraging messages on a collaborative art board, bringing together and complementing the artists’ creations as a symbol of togetherness and support in building a more inclusive space.

These initiatives reflect Resta Pendopo KM456’s commitment to providing opportunities for the public to discover and connect with inclusive communities through enjoyable experiences. Beyond providing an outlet for creativity, the activities create opportunities for interaction, appreciation of diversity, and the development of more open and equitable relationships.

Collaboration with inclusive communities extends beyond creative activities. At RFTR 2026, Resta Pendopo KM456 also facilitated relaxation services provided by the Semarang Regency branch of Persatuan Tuna Netra Indonesia, or Pertuni and physiotherapy services delivered by Ikatan Fisioterapi Indonesia. This social inclusion initiative represents a tangible commitment by PT Trans Marga Jateng and Resta Pendopo KM456 to sustaining social action for people with visual impairments along the Semarang–Solo Toll Road.
